EpiLynx is focusing on giving you healthy glowing and radiant skin without worries.
EpiLynx is a Medically Clean Beauty designed by Dr. Liia, doctors, pharmacists and scientists in Los Angeles, California. Our Products are free from 14 common allergens, including (but not limited to) dairy, gluten, nuts, shelfish, etc.
Every Ingredient is carefully chosen with a purpose to make sure it will interact with each cell in your skin to rejuvenate and revive you skin keeping in mind any allergies or skin conditions.
Many people are gluten-sensitive or have gluten-allergies they may be unaware of. This is especially true for people with Celiacs, Hashimoto’s disease, Eczema, Rosacea, and Psoriasis. However, anyone can benefit from gluten-free skin care. Gluten-free skin care products are rich with antioxidants and ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness for any skin type.
Our products are made in a gluten-free and allergen-free laboratory rather than a factory that may manufacture other products with gluten. The Dr. Liia team has specifically chosen products that do not contain any gluten or gluten by-products, nut products, etc so that we can guarantee all of our formulations are gluten-free, hypoallergenic, cruelty-free and scientifically designed.
The shelf life of our products is 12 months.
Yes, all of our products are formulated gluten free as well as made and packaged in a completely gluten free laboratory environment!
Yes, everything is cruelty-free.
All of our skincare products are made in Los Angeles, USA. All skincare is developed and manufactured by Dr. Liia and the team of doctors and pharmacists. All of our makeup is developed and designed in Los Angeles, USA and manufactured in PRC.
All of our products are organic. Each ingredient in the formula is derived from something that occurs in nature. Oftentimes, these ingredients are purified and then synthesized, but are still derivatives of organic materials.
It’s important to note that chemicals across the board are not bad for us. Our body is made up of chemicals, and so is everything else, including food and water. Toxic chemicals are bad for us. Toxic means that the chemicals can harm cells or organs, cause neurological damage, and/or alter important biological systems (like the endocrine system, which regulates our hormones).
All our products are scented with extracts such as lingonberry (just a drop to mask the smell of butters etc). We do not use any synthetic fragrances.
Reducing resource use is of pivotal importance to our packaging development process. Much of our product packaging, including our shipper boxes and filler paper, is recyclable in most communities in North America. How we package our products is as important as the formulas themselves. That’s why we rigorously screen every packaging material for safety as well as environmental impacts. We use glass containers for some of our products; however, glass is heavy and carbon-intensive to ship, so glass packaging is evaluated on a product-specific basis.
EpiLynx uses many ingredients that are certified organic, natural, or naturally derived, and we use some of the safer synthetic ingredients too. It is important to know that “organic” and “natural” do not have legal definitions in the cosmetic industry; companies can say that a product is organic when in fact there are no certified organic ingredients in it, or there are only a couple.
No. Companies must use preservatives in any cosmetic product that contains water or aloe to prevent the product from becoming spoiled; preservatives are needed for safety and performance.
However, EpiLynx, screens every ingredient for safety. We look for data on important health endpoints like cancer, cell damage, reproductive toxicity, and skin irritation. Because preservatives are meant to kill bacteria, mold, and/or yeast, they may also be toxic in some concentrations to other life forms.
While formulating our skin care line, we tested several types of preservatives before settling on the preservatives that we now use (more naturally derived such as willow bark etc).
We chose options that are effective in very small concentrations, and we use different preservatives for different products because of performance (e.g., sodium might work well on its own in one product, but not in another, so we may use phenoxyethanol or potassium sorbate instead).
We use the smallest amount of preservatives and always even much less than usually deemed safe.
We do not use any fragrances or dyes. Every ingredient in our products has a function; nothing is used without careful consideration of its efficacy and performance and how it will ineraact with each cell of and in your body. We do not use any dye in any of our skin care or shower products, for example—we only use colorants in our color cosmetics. We do not use masking fragrances—only natural scents made from essential extracts and disclosed on ingredient labels. We do not like any mysteries—only cleaner ingredients with purpose.
Yes, a few of our makeup powders contain talc, as its silk feel provides a smooth finish and even contributes to the product’s performance.
We do not believe that the talc we use in our products poses a potential health risk, based on our own safety assessments and the research, when used as directed.
Research does suggest, however, that talc can sometimes be contaminated with asbestos, which is a known carcinogen.
While we are confident in the safety of the talc we use in our formulations, we are striving to make new powder formulations that are without talc.
