Why Acne in Allergy-Prone Patients Is Different

  • Anti-acne toners: Glycolic acid toners frequently contain fragrance; salicylic acid toners often use alcohol and fragrance
  • "Oil-control" products: Frequently use kaolin clay in bases containing wheat starch as a thickener

The Allergen-Free Anti-Acne Protocol

Step 1: The right cleanser (twice daily)
Allergy-prone acne requires a cleanser that removes sebum and surface bacteria without introducing CAPB sensitization or stripping the barrier with SLS.
