Why You Shouldn’t Go on A Diet

There’s a lot to be said about taking care of your body and loving the skin you’re in.

We all come in many shapes and sizes and we metabolize food differently, we grow differently, we live all kinds of different lifestyles.

Pop culture has this problem where it tends to make people think that we need to be super skinny and have the perfect body in order to be beautiful.

I am Beautiful!

That is not the case. What makes us beautiful is how we go about loving our bodies and taking care of them. You need to embrace who you are no matter your size!

But you also should consider the quality of eating foods that are going to make you strong and healthy.

It’s not always all about watching your calorie intake, there are other things to be aware of also because we do need a certain number of calories to keep our organs functioning properly and keeping us going. There are good calories and there are bad calories too, obviously!

More often than not people will say something like, “I don’t like my body weight so I’m going on a diet.”

Stop right there! You don’t have to diet, you don’t have to starve yourself in order to get the look you want, you just have to maybe think about the kind of food you are eating instead of the quantity! Healthy food can be boring, but that’s only for those who think that healthy means only eating salads and raisin bran for months until you fit into those skinny jeans you’ve had your eyes on.

There are so many kinds of foods out there that will actually help you burn fat and stay healthy at the same time. An added bonus is that a lot of them are actually delicious!

Fish has a ton of benefits and is full of high-quality proteins which make you feel more full after you eat which means you don’t have to eat as much of it, plus the omega-3 is great for your heart. But maybe you’re not a big seafood person, I know I’m not.

But I do know one thing for sure, I love a good breakfast! Give me those eggs! Eggs are an amazing weight loss food and studies have shown that eating eggs also reduces hunger and fill you up in a healthy and nutritious way!

If you like a little spice in your food, then chilli peppers are your best friend. They are jam packed full of antioxidants and reduce inflammation among many other things.

The options really are endless and all you need to do is a little research into beneficial calories that are going to fill you up and also work wonders for your overall health! Don’t waste your time and energy on a diet that might not work and leave you feeling hungry and miserable all the time! You can love yourself and eat delicious food at the same time if you think about the quality of certain nutrients!
